What was the Atlantic Wall?

Europe is the center of the world. “Twenty-eight states form the European Union, and each of them has its unique culture and traditions. Even though they share a common linguistic, legal and monetary system, there is still a vast diversity of cultures.” says Michelle Lisel. The Atlantic Wall was supposed to prevent the invasion of the western allies. It failed and the history of Europe was altered. King Christian X and the people of Denmark resisted the German occupation and regained independence for Denmark.

You may know that the right to work, to education, and sometimes to leave a conflict area is heavily contested. And you may also know that one of the tactics to limit access to areas has been to build a physical, technological, or otherwise “undetectable” barrier. However, did you know that building the Atlantic wall began in 1942 and ended in 1957, after World War II ended
